چکیده
Abstract Background Cervical spondylosis is a chronic degenerative condition of the cervical spine that can affect nerve roots. The origin phrenic makes it vulnerable to injury. purpose this study investigate possible subtle affection in patients with using conduction studies (NCS). This was conducted on 30 above C5 and healthy volunteers. Nerve both nerves were performed all cases. Results showed statistically highly significant prolongation distal motor latency (DML) than control group ( P < 0.01). There no difference regarding amplitude > 0.05). correlation between DML X -ray score r Conclusions an underestimated cause delayed DML. delay severity spondylosis.

Delayed cervical somatosensory potentials in cervical spondylosis.
The cervical somatosensory evoked potential after median nerve stimulation was recorded in 14 patients with cervical spondylosis with radiculopathy and, in 10 cases, myelopathy. Four patients had normal potentials, five showed delayed potentials, and in five others no potential could be seen.

OBJECTIVES/HYPOTHESIS Selective reinnervation of the posterior cricoarytenoid muscle with a single phrenic nerve rootlet has been shown to restore physiologic motion in animal models. However, clinical translation of this work is challenged by the limited knowledge of the cervical anatomy of the phrenic nerve. STUDY DESIGN Prospective collaborative study. METHODS Dissection of 111 cadaveric...
متن کاملWrestling induced cervical spondylosis
Background: Cervical spondylosis is a degenerative process involving changes in soft tissue and bone of intervertebral discs. Objective: To evaluate wrestling induced cervical spondylosis. Methods: 83 male wrestlers with the age range of 15 to 55 were randomly studied against 79 non-wrestlers of the same age. Clinical and radiological assessments were carried out and recorded in both groups. Wr...
متن کاملCervical spondylosis and nerve root lesions. Incidence at routine necropsy.
Cervical spondylosis is a common condition. It is often associated with brachial neuralgia and occasionally it produces spinal cord compression. Although the bony changes may be very obvious on radiographic examination, clinically the disease may not be severe. The real importance of the bony and soft-tissue changes in this condition lies in their effect on adjacent structures. Although the inc...
متن کاملF-response frequency in motor neuron disease and cervical spondylosis.
During a train of 200 stimuli, F-response frequency, frequency of identical responses, and F-response shape were studied in the ulnar nerve of 17 patients with motor neuron disease (MND) and 16 patients with cervical spondylosis (CS). In MND patients, F-response frequency varied between 5% and 96% with a median of 39% which was significantly lower than controls (p less than 0.001), and showed a...
